DR. INGRID D. HICKS has a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Her psychotheraputc focus is the EMPOWERMEWNT of the AFRICAN-AMERICAN COMMUNITY particularily WOMEN and COUPLES. Her first book: FOR BLACK WOMEN ONLY: A COMPLETE GUIDE TO A SUCESSFUL LIFESTYLE CHANGE; HEALTH,WEALTH,LOVE,AND,HAPPINESS, was published by AFRICAN-AMERICAN IMAGES in 1991. She has appeared on National talk shows including THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW. Her husband MR.THOMAS E. BROOKS,is a registered ALCOHOL and DRUG COUNSELOR, as well as a registered PREVENTION WORKER and MENTOR. He specializes in working with AFRICAN-AMERICAN YOUTH and FAMILIES and is well respected in the MILWAUKEE COMMUNITY. Together, they self-published,and brought to the stage, FOR BLACK WOMEN ONLY...BUT DON'T FORGET ABOUT OUR MEN,in 1995.The have provided SEMINARS and WORKSHOPS on RELATIONSHIPS and CAREER/ WORK SITUATIONS NATIONALLY and INTERNATIONALLY. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
